In a penthouse high above downtown Tāmaki Makaurau, designer Rebe Healy invited guests into The Apartment — a live campaign shoot staged as a chic soiree where fashion, interiors, and city living converged.
When the lift doors opened on the 41st floor of 51 Albert Street, the usual fashion-week anticipation gave way to something more domestic: the sensation of stepping into a friend’s apartment, albeit one serving Moët and gin sours beneath four-metre ceilings. Instead of a traditional runway, The Apartment positioned REBE’s collection inside a living environment where styling, photography, and interiors were in constant dialogue.

Interior stylist and collector Neha Belton set the scene with furniture from his archive, artworks by Coastal Signs and Michael Lett, and lighting from ECC. Rather than staging a set, Neha’s composition made the apartment feel authentic, with art, objects and lighting woven naturally into the space.

Here, Rebe Healy (Ngāruahine, Te Ātiawa, Taranaki) introduced her SS26 collection. Photographer Holly Burgess, assisted by Seb Charles, got to work on the campaign shoot — right there in the living space while guests watched the process unfold in front of them. With a nod to 1990s Vogue Italia, stylist Margie Riddiford favoured slim lines and uncomplicated layering, paired with jewellery from presenting partner Partridge which caught the light like the city shimmering below. Makeup by Rae Sacha, created with Aleph, continued the 90s references with smoky eyes and diffused skin.

A playlist curated by Rebe’s partner Harry, canapés from Bistro Saine, and gin sours kept the atmosphere close to a housewarming, deliberately unguarded despite the penthouse’s sky-high luxuries. The apartment itself reinforced the intent. With panoramic views, chevron timber floors, and natural stone detailing, the 335sqm residence conveyed presence without overshadowing the clothes. Together, the space and the collection distilled Rebe’s ethos: design that’s intentional, refined, and grounded in how people live. By replacing a runway with a shoot unfolding in situ, The Apartment shifted the rhythm of NZ Fashion Week. It brought clothing and interiors into the same frame, showing that style resonates most when it inhabits the everyday.
