How to paint realistic water droplets in watercolour with Anna Mason

Water droplets can add a touch of magic to a painting.

And they can cause quite a bit of confusion when trying to paint them in watercolour.

Although they sit on top of a subject in real life, you can’t go painting them on after you’ve painted your subject when you work in watercolour.

That’s because they contain really light shiny highlights which have to be handled differently. In this little video I show you the process I went through to create those reflective little droplets so that they sit on top of your subject.
