Illustrator and animator Nancy Liang creates surreal animations that reimagine homes. In her alluring moving images, plants are as tall as buildings with some even growing from the skeleton of these structures.
Minimalist in their aesthetic, this vibe is in keeping with how Nancy lives. “I’ve been using minimalism as a tool to help evaluate my way of life for around two years now,” she shared late last year. “Having less material burden helps with my anxiety and stress, and helps me focus on what matters most in life.” There’s a sense of that freedom that Nancy’s GIFs have—they are delightfully untethered.
