This beautiful farmhouse in Valle was designed by Aksent Arkitekter, a reconstruction of a farmhouse that burned down in 2015. The original building refers to a typical Satesdal house and marks the entrance to the street structure in the middle of Valle. That is why the modern interpretation of the new building follows the proportions and location of the previous building.
The farmhouse is an automatically protected cultural monument. There is a Stigandshella, a large stone slab in front of the door of the burnt house, also listed on the site.
To respect the historical value of the house, a 19th-century fire engine and a 17th-century attic are also part of the situation. This is also indicative and has been taken into account in the placement of new buildings.
