Fall is right around the corner and I just decorated the house for Halloween which means candle season has begun! I found some vintage teak bowls at the thrift store a while ago and I thought they would make the prettiest candles. Since the dough bowls are hard to find out there, I figured this is a good option! So I grabbed some soy wax flakes and got to work on this simple wood bowl candle!

I didn’t end up adding fragrance to mine because I have a ton of scented candles right now and I figured it would be nice to just have these for ambiance rather than adding another set of smells to the mix! But feel free to add in your favorite essential oils! These would make such a cozy little gift for the holidays. Just imagine them wrapped up with some string and a cute little tag!

Materials for Wood Bowl Candle:

• wood bowl (I found mine at the thrift store)
• soy wax flakes
• essential oils (this is optional – I just left mine unscented)
• wicks (I would recommend wood wicks though)
• large wood popsicle sticks
• hot glue gun
• glass pyrex or a large metal bowl and pan
