Well hello! It’s the first week of summer vacation and we’re having a blast. You know my love for temporary tattoos is never-ending, so here is another way to create pretty things with them: DIY Floral Patterned Decorative Bowls! And what’s even better? These pretty little flowers are the free shape of the week over at the Silhouette Design Store! Go grab the design and let’s start making some pretty bowls!
What You Need: DIY Floral Patterned Decorative Bowls
- Silhouette Studio (there is a free version!)
- Printer
- Summer Flower design from the Silhouette Design Store
- Scissors
- Temporary Tattoo Paper
- Wet towel
- Scraper
- Optional: Sealant

How To Make: DIY Floral Patterned Decorative Bowls
- Open Silhouette Studio and open your flower design. Ungroup the shape and remove the stems/leaves
- Resize your flower so that it will fit on your bowl as a pattern (I resized mine to 1 in height)
- Mirror your flower (this is so that when it is applied it to your bowl, it will appear the correct way)
- Replicate the image throughout the page
- Print on to tattoo paper (as indicated on your package)
- Follow the directions on your tattoo package, and apply the clear adhesive sheet that came with your tattoo paper. Use your scraper to smooth the bubbles out
- Cut very closely around each floral image
- Remove the clear adhesive paper for each one, and apply the tattoo face down to your bowl with a wet towel. Create a pattern with each image
- Optional: After all the flowers have been applied, you can apply a sealant to protect the temporary tattoos
I love how they turned out! They can sit pretty on a shelf or you can use them as trinket trays or even give as a gift. Please note that these bowls should not be used for eating or serving food. How will you use yours?
