I love seeing the use of natural stone in interiors, and while marble has long been a favourite, Travertine seems to becoming increasingly popular. A form of limestone, it has a more fibrous texture than marble and exists in white, tan, cream-coloured and even rust varieties. My favourite is the tan and beige tones which I’ve been seeing a lot lately. From bathrooms and furniture through to lighting and smaller accessories, I think this beautiful stone goes hand in hand with sculptural pieces. Here a few of my current picks.
