Making a new-built home (or a modernised one) feel cozy and inviting is often more challenging because the home itself might lack some interesting features and character. Not to worry though as every home can be turned into a place that is cozy, personal and welcoming.
In this beautiful apartment especially, lot’s of textiles have been introduced to add textures. The combination of sheer white and beige curtains* don’t only dim out the light coming from these large windows, they also hide away the TV which is in between the two windows, which is so clever. The beige fluffy area rug adds a lot of texture in the living room which is amplified by the dusty blue fabric sofa and the beige fabric arm chair.
The long row of Ikea Besta cabinets on the living room wall adds ample storage and I love that this has been made into a feature wall with these art prints and the Flos 265 wall lamp* which also functions as a dining table lamp. The dining area itself adds some welcome contrast to the look because of the walnut wood on dining chairs.
The empty space in between the living room and the hallway has been used as a home office and even though the bedroom doesn’t have any natural light coming in, it has been made cozy and inviting nonetheless.
