The idea behind these green energy sources is to provide the same level of power availability that can be achieved with fossil fuels but without the dangers to the environment. Many of these energy sources are also passively collected, meaning they don’t require mining or other advanced and dangerous collection methods. Some countries are certainly leading the way in terms of their commitment to green energy, and a few of the most prominent nations are listed below.

Japan
While Japan might not top the list in terms of overall green energy consumption, they are still one of the most prominent green countries in the world. The reason for this is their commitment to protecting their environment combined with their great level of innovation in the technology sector. Since most of the Japanese population subsists on a diet made primarily of seafood, they are some of the healthiest individuals in the world. Japanese women especially can expect a long lifespan thanks to the cleanliness of their environment and diet. As one of the smaller nations on the planet, Japan doesn’t have much opportunity for large solar farms that can produce prodigious amounts of energy. They must instead rely on simpler forms of renewable power.
China
For the longest time, China was considered one of the worst nations in terms of pollution generation and protecting their environment, but the nation has made a huge turnaround in the recent years. They have a tremendous amount of open space on which they can produce solar farms, and they already own the world’s largest solar collection facility. It is made from over 4 million cells, and each solar panel was produced in China as well. This site is only one of hundreds more that China has planned for the coming years.
Norway
Norway is showcasing a commitment to renewable energies by implementing a ban on deforestation. This does not only show their resolve to protect their natural ecosystems, but also their desire to move away from fuel sources that only hurt environment. People in Norway have one of the highest qualities of life thanks to their pristine landscapes and their desire to use green energies like wind, solar, and geothermal. As of 2016, Norway used green energy sources for more than half of their total energy needs. That number is expected to rise as they work toward eliminating their use of outdated and unclean fuel sources altogether.
Sweden
Sweden has been leading the charge toward total renewable energy usage for years, and they have been rated the best country for green living on many occasions. The reason is that Sweden didn’t use much fossil fuels to begin with, and they have always held their natural environment in the highest regard. That respect has led them to protect the landscapes of the nation with sweeping government policies that dictate what sort of fuel sources can be used and where. The results have been unquestionably positive, and now Sweden is typically viewed as a top destination for those who seek green living.
Switzerland
This peaceful nation has some of the most beautiful natural landmarks in the world due to their mountainous regions, but that hasn’t stopped them supplementing about a quarter of their entire energy usage with renewable sources. They don’t quite have the available land to build anything like the giant Chinese solar farm in the shape of a panda bear, but they are working toward replacing even more of their fossil fuel usage with green technologies. Due to the relatively pristine nature of their land and the fact that so little pollution enters the air via burning fossil fuels, people in Switzerland enjoy one of the highest expected lifespans in the world.
Finland
The Scandinavian countries are quite involved in the process of converting the world to green energy solutions, and Finland is no different. Besides a brief period of rapid industrialization following World War II, Finland is most notable for the fact its workforce tends to be highly connected with nature. A shift back to that sort of ideal is exactly what the people of Finland want, and they have driven amazing green energy innovations since the market opened up. The Finnish people have the same land constraints as many of the other mountainous nations attempting to move toward green energy, so giant solar farms aren’t a viable option. Finland is hoping to make up the difference by using other forms and focusing on individual solar panel systems on homes.
