Look at this beautiful turn of the century Swedish home. I think the light is so soft and beautiful coming through those large windows decorated with white and beige linen curtains* which soften out the harsh sunlight a lot.
The three main rooms of the apartment are connected to each other, with the dining room at the center. I believe in any space it’s important to have a cohesive style and color palette in the interior, but this is even more the case when you can see all the different rooms from wherever you are standing.
The walls of the apartment are painted in a grey that is on the cooler side (though only slightly), mixed up with a warm beige wall in the study. The cool grey is warmed up with tints of wood and warm textiles and details like the burgundy fabrics on the bed which really stand out all the way from the other side of the room.
The white fabric and paper lampshades also tie together the rooms, which is a red thread throughout the apartment. In the bedroom you can find a beautiful fabric pendant by Gong design, above the dining table I think I recognise the HAY Nelsson saucer* and the rice paper shade in the living room matches this look perfectly.
