A very dark flooring like the one in this Swedish home can sometimes look bottom heavy when combined with white or light walls. In this space the walls were painted in a beautiful shade of grey, accentuating the angled lines of the white ceiling and softening the contrast with the dark flooring. The light area rugs in both the bedroom and the living room break the surface of the floor as well and soften out the look.
I love the way the art prints stand out on this wall color and in the kitchen you can find my own ‘Crinkled no.1’ art print, which I’m so happy about. The bedroom has a small home office, which is placed in the niche of the rooftop window and I love the combination of the warm textiles on the bed, which contrast nicely against the cooler grey wall color.
