Banda has completed the last 15 exclusive properties as part of their Leinster Square development, housed within a row of seven heritage-listed buildings overlooking the prominent garden square of the same name. Banda creative director and CEO Edo Mapelli Mozzi explains that the team deliberately delayed the final townhouse’s design process to better understand how current residents lived in their homes. “We pride ourselves on creating a design for living,” Edo says. “As we progressed through the sales journey at Leinster Square, what became apparent is that the entertaining spaces are at the beating heart, while serenity is found in the study and bedroom suites.”

Unlike most developments, each of the 15 townhomes within the stately 1850s buildings takes on an entirely new persona, from bold jewel tones to a French farmhouse aesthetic. Similarly, Townhouse 04 explores a wholly different narrative from its neighbours. Warm grey tones are met with masculine forms and shapes throughout each room, flowing into the next through a recurring thread of curves or deep colour.

Natural light underpins both storeys of the townhouse, inviting considered views of the neighbouring parkland into the home through full-height windows. “The light pouring through the double-height windows is ever present as is the feeling of space and nature due to the private and communal gardens,” Edo says. “This townhouse really creates a wonderful warmth and sense of ‘home’.”
