This beautiful Swedish apartment has a very functional open-concept floor plan which combines a kitchen, hallway, dining room, and living room all into one space. The oak kitchen cabinets stand out against the white walls in the interior, which makes the cabinetry the main focal point of the space.
A hallway, kitchen, and living room combined
The living space has 4 main functionalities: a hallway next to the dining area, a kitchen, and a living area. You can see that an additional wall was constructed next to the sofa area to make space for an extra bedroom.
Even though this living space combines many living areas, the functionalities have been visually separated from each other in an excellent way to create different living zones.
Oak kitchen cabinets combined with white stone countertops and a kitchen island
The beautiful oak kitchen cabinets stand out against the white walls of this living space and the wood veins add a contrasting warm texture to the interior design that looks elegant and sophisticated.
The kitchen design contains tall oak cabinets that have all been placed on the wall opposing the living room window. The other side of the kitchen contains lower cabinets only for a lighter look that is finished off with an elegant white shelf.
The kitchen island visually separates the kitchen from the dining area, yet it also provides a place for two bar stools so you can use it as a breakfast bar.
The white stone countertops and the waterfall countertop on the kitchen island lighten the color palette of the oak cabinets, while the stainless steel faucet adds an elegant touch to the setting.
Light gray wall cabinets and a half wall make a hallway section
Since the apartment door opens right into the main living space without an extra hallway, the owners of this apartment had to get creative. A half wall was added between the dining area and the front door to create a separation between the two areas.
Floor-to-ceiling wardrobe modules in a light grey color were added by the wall for hallway storage and an open hallway storage module was placed right next to the door. By picking out the cabinet doors in a different material from the oak cabinets in the kitchen, the two modules are visually distinct from each other.
An open-concept dining area and living space
The dining and living area has been decorated with light tones and finished off with different wood tones for a natural look.
The wall by the dining table has been finished off with a gallery wall and a small round mirror, which gives it character and elegance.
In the living room, you can find a white base palette that has been finished off with black accents on the armchair, wall lamp, and coffee table.
Warm grey walls and a wall-to-wall wardrobe in the bedroom
The same wardrobe modules as in the hallway can be found in the bedroom as well for an integrated effect. One of the bedroom walls has been completely covered in wardrobe cabinets which provide a lot of storage space.
The bedroom walls have been painted in the same color as the cabinets for a tone-on-tone effect. The beige textiles on the bed combined with the beige curtains add a warm tone to the palette and the gold hardware on the cabinets combined with the gold in the wall lamp adds a luxurious touch.
