As a PR expert in the field of design, Hans Hjelmqvist works with the some of the world’s leading brands. The co-owner and CEO of Swedish PR agency Grand Relations, Hans’ knowledge and appreciation for timeless design carries through to his home which is located in a radically transformed 1897 factory in the heart of Stockholm. Bringing a warm and refined contrast to the rawness of the building while enhancing the four meter high ceiling and full height windows, Hans worked closely with interior designer Madeleine Asplund Klingstedt to realise his vision. Warm white walls and natural oak flooring provide the perfect backdrop for a carefully curated collection of design pieces.

Cool and composed, the living room features a statement artwork by Amy Feldman, the Retreat Sofa by Monica Förster for Fogia and the BIT sidetable by Massproductions. The dining area features another standout piece, the Table Palais designed Anya Sebton and Eva Lilja Löwenhielm for Asplund.

A calming retreat, the bedroom features a soft palette and beautiful textiles. Graphic artworks by Olof Inger and exquisite Italian ceramics by Marcello Fantoni provide further warmth and interest. The incredible chair is by Julia Gamborg Nielsen

Artfully styled with a sense of sophistication, I love how this home appears both polished and effortless. You can read more about it in the latest RUM International Edition (where I first saw it featured) and also online at Residence
