This cozy attic apartment in Sweden (Styled by Emma Fisher and Annica Clarmell, photographed by Peter Pousard for Alvhem) has white walls highlighting the original dark wood beams underneath the ceiling.
The open-plan living kitchen includes a slightly outdated kitchen, yet the space ties together perfectly by styling it in such a lovely way. The round dining table forms the center of the space, right in front of the window. On the other side of the room, the white sofa on top of the white area rug brightens the color palette.
The bedroom has a white wall color just like the living kitchen for an integrated effect. The mixture of grey, off-white, and orange textiles on the bed creates a cozy atmosphere in this space. Furthermore, the window sill has been turned into a cozy window seat from which the view over the rooftops must be amazing.
A living kitchen with a dining table in the center of the space
The slightly outdated kitchen takes up a corner space in the spacious living room. By styling the kitchen with a beautiful arrangement of objects, it gets a subtle modernization and fits within the decor of the rest of the space.
The white oak dining table paired with the oak dining chairs in front of the window stands in the middle of the interior, in between the kitchen and the living section.
The compact layout of the kitchen allows enough space for the dining and sofa areas. The linen curtains are hung above the window, accentuating the impressive height of this room.
A sofa area decorated with white textiles and subtle decor
Opposite the kitchen, you can find a cozy sofa area with an off-white fabric sofa standing on top of a white textured rug that covers almost the entire flooring in the space. The white palette of the textiles paired with the white walls forms the perfect backdrop for a few natural colors in the textiles and accessories.
The ceiling height of the living room is used for shelving above the bedroom doorway. This again accentuates the ceiling height, yet it also provides a nice spot for a selection of storage baskets.
A half-wall separates the living kitchen from the hallway section in the space. This separation is accentuated by the natural area rug in this section of the open floor plan.
A bedroom with white walls and a window seat
The white walls in the bedroom paired with the white fabric pendant light and the off-white curtains make for a beautiful white backdrop. From this white background, the mixture of natural tone textiles on the bed stands out in a subtle, yet powerful way.
A textured white area rug at the end of the bed provides the space with a soft and cozy look.
From the bedroom, you can access a walk-in closet. Additionally, the bedroom wall is filled with a long peg rail for hanging a few essential clothing pieces.
Since the window sill in the bedroom is quite wide, it’s a perfect spot to create a small window seat from which you can enjoy the view over the nearby rooftops.
