A beautiful and fresh home to share today from Architect Donald Lococo.
This American Farmhouse is located in Mclean, Virginia and uses reclaimed wood to create a modern take on the “farmhouse”.
It’s light and airy, rustic and wonderful. Enjoy.

THIS NEW HOME IS INCORPORATED INTO A SITE IN MCLEAN THAT PRESERVES ONE OF VIRGINIA’S DISAPPEARING POPULATION OF BARNS.

RURAL ARCHITECTURE IS REFERENCED IN THE RUSTIC STONE WALLS AND THE CONTRASTING SECOND STORY BOARD & BATTEN DORMS AND RAFTER TAILS.

ON THE INTERIOR A SIMILAR FEEL IS CREATED.

SIMPLE BUT REFINED TRIM WORK AND CABINETRY ARE CONTRASTED WITH TIMBER, RECLAIMED WOOD FLOORS AND SLATE TILE.

THERE WAS AN EXISTING STRUCTURE ON THE PROPERTY WHERE THIS MODERN FARMHOUSE WAS BUILT, IT WAS RENOVATED INTO A POOLHOUSE AND STUDIO WITH RECLAIMED WOOD .
