Lis Design Studio are working on the design of an apartment located in an 18th century building in Lviv, Ukraine. As these concept images show, it’s going to be a stunning transformation. The building in which it is located is one of the city’s architectural monuments. With a plan to restore the original elements, including doors, windows and flooring, Lis Design will be preserving the sense of history, while creating a light Scandinavian feeling. Furniture and lighting from Danish brands including Carl Hansen & Son, Menu, &Tradition, New Works, Northern and Hay look right at home in the refined spaces against a neutral palette of soft beige tones and warm wood elements.
Building is now underway for this exciting project, which you can follow on the Lis Design Instagram page. Judging by the ‘before’ photos it’s going to be quite an undertaking. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished result!
