Ever since we moved from Berlin into our Munich apartment, I felt like we needed a new coffee table that matched the living room in our new place. We have quite a large but narrow living room space and I have been looking for a coffee table that is not too big, but still comfortable to use for decoration items and coffee cups etc.

I teamed up with Connox to give our living room an updated look and picked out the Menu Turning table together with the Menu Carrie LED lamp. The LED light fits perfectly on the table but will also be used on our balcony to enjoy the last summer nights (which I hope we will still get a few of here in Munich). The oak wood of the Turning table gives a soft look to our living room and I’m very excited about the combination of functionalities. You can turn (hence the name Turning table of course) the top part of the table and reveal a storage area which is perfect for remotes, coasters and magazines. The Carrie lamp can be charged with a USB charger and lasts for eight hours with one charge, which is great for our balcony, where we don’t have a plug.

Connox is one of the leading online providers for design furniture and home accessories in Germany with a wide range of carefully selected pieces that can transform an interior. They offer classic pieces designed by Alvar Alto, Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen next to the newer Scandinavian brands and novelties from rising designers. I like their wide selection of design products and every time I ordered something from them in the past, it arrived almost instantly, a great service. I suggest you have a look at their inspiration section as well to find ideas for your home.

Measuring only 45sqm, this real-life home in the historic district of Pigneto, Rome, was designed with white in mind. Signifying pure intimacy and hospitality, it reflects both its historic location and modern setting with a central white backbone and scattered living areas. Surrounded by white and wood, a high ceiling and large windows stream light into two spaces. Minimal elements demarcate each living area – an inspirational quote the living, an oven and fire panel the kitchen. A row of greenery offers life between the two.
