Nestled in the embrace of Colombia’s lush vistas, Valle de Rocas stands as a testament to the harmony of the elements.
Daniel’s inspiration to realize this design was based on the client’s taste and lifestyle. It was designed to be a refuge for a swimming enthusiast.
“I sought to highlight and integrate the natural elements within this house. That is why the water surrounds the whole house and complements itself with each one of the spaces of the house. I wanted to integrate the 5 elements in a habitable place,” says Vargas.
Lighting posed a significant challenge for the architect, aimed at casting each space in a glow that would transmute the starkness of concrete walls into something more inviting. Vargas expertly navigated the interplay of light and shadow, using strategic lighting to imbue select areas with a cozier ambiance, carefully calibrated to the needs of each room.
