This post is for all the coffee and tea lovers among you. While you might want to invest in a gooseneck kettle, especially for pour-over coffee, for all other hot beverages an electric kettle will do the trick.

Since the kettle will be one of those items you will leave out on the counter, it better look good and matches the style of your kitchen, which is why I thought it was time to make a selection of the best electric kettle designs for the modern interior. Because why invest in making your kitchen all nice and then ruin it with ugly appliances?

Below you can find my favorite picks in stainless steel or (BPA-free) plastic, with different capacities, available in different colors, and with different functionalities like preset temperature settings, and safety features.

10 of the most stylish electric tea kettles

Vipp electric kettle: a wink to the classic stovetop kettles

The Vipp* electric kettle is made out of powder-coated steel so recognizable in the Vipp product range. The kettle is a highly functional addition to the kitchen and is a modern resemblance to a classic stovetop kettle used in the old times, which is such a nice touch.

The double surface of the kettle functions just like a keep-warm setting (while not being a keep-warm setting that you actively have to turn on) and keeps the water at the desired temperature for longer. The insulation also makes the surface heath-proof. The powder-coated steel exterior of the kettle combined with the non-slip rubber details on the swivel base makes the kettle easy to handle and a stylish addition to any kitchen.

Stelton EM77 electric kettle

The icon EM77* design by Erik Magnussen was first introduced in the EM77 vacuum jug, which can be found in so many homes in its 40-year existence. The EM77 kettle, which adds the same style to your home as the jug, can hold 1.5l, has a removable limescale filter, and a dry boil safety switch.

Eva Solo Nordic kitchen kettle

This beautiful stainless steel kettle is part of the Nordic kitchen series* from Eva Solo. The electric kettles come in black or stainless steel and have an oak handle that really elevates the design.

The lid can be kept in place while filling or pouring, the spout is drip-free, it has an automatic shut-off, and the kettle has an indicator gauge so you can see how much water you already poured in.

This is certainly one of the most stylish stainless steel kettles I have seen and it’s needless to say the stainless steel variant is my favorite of the two.

The Alessi plissé* kettle designed by Michele De Lucchi has beautiful 3D folds that remind you of an haute couture dress. The sculptural design comes in many different colors and becomes a beautiful, decorative object on your kitchen counter. The electric kettle comes in two sizes.

EKG Electric Kettle with temperature control from Corvo, king of gooseneck kettles

While Corvo has the infamous electric gooseneck kettle variant in their assortment, since this is a list of purely electric kettles, I included the Corvo EKG, which is meant purely to boil water and is more of an electric tea kettle. The wooden handle and the matt black metal kettle are so stylish and I love that the electric base is square and slightly bigger than the kettle itself.

The electric kettle has variable temperature control and is engineered for the perfect cup of green tea, coffee, oatmeal, or just about anything that requires hot water. This design doesn’t take up much space in your kitchen either, which is great if you struggle with keeping your countertops available. It’s also the only stylish kettle I found that has a temperature control setting when you don’t want to boil water but rather heat it up.

HAY Sowden kettle

This playful kettle is designed by George Sowden for HAY* and comes in different color variations. The electric tea kettle is easy to clean, has a generously proportioned handle, and has a spout that makes pouring easy. You can find many different kitchen accessories in the Sowden range, so you can match them all in your kitchen design if you like.

Eva Solo Rise electric kettle

The Rise kettle from Eva Solo* can be filled directly through a hole in the lid and comes in a slick white or black color variant. The stainless steel insert can be removed from the kettle, which makes cleaning and removing limescale so much easier than with regular electric tea kettles.

The kettle design includes boil-dry protection and you can also buy a vacuum jug from the same series.

Rosendahl Gran Cru electric kettle

These BPA-free plastic kettles from Rosendahl* come in two colors and hold 1.4l of hot or boiling water. The design has four eye-catching grooves that distinguish this piece from other electric kettles and the base comes in stainless steel or patinated steel depending on the color variation.

You don’t have to remove the lid of the electric kettle to fill or pour the water, which is a nice touch.

Rig Tig Foodie: a small kettle for hot water for 1 or 2 people

The Foodie* electric kettle from Rig Tig is probably the most affordable one on the list yet it’s also easy on the eyes. The high performance of this electric kettle ensures the water to boil quickly with minimum energy consumption.

The kettle also has a removable limescale filter and boil-dry protection. At 1l this is a smaller electric kettle, yet this means it also takes away less countertop space in smaller kitchens.
