Summer’s in full swing, and some classic neutral colours have warmed up to match the weather. Together they form a soft palette that exudes contemporary appeal yet is very easy to work with, allowing you to add your own character to a space without fear of your homeware clashing with your walls.
Dulux Cardrona and Glinks Gully are both warm neutrals that sit beautifully alongside soft pinks such as Dulux Maiko and muted oranges like Dulux Motueka. They also work well with
the natural materials that are so popular right now, such as timber, stone and linen.
When using paint to update a space, keep in mind that you don’t have to change entire walls to make a statement. Consider transforming just your home’s front door, an interior door frame, or
the edges of a set of shelves – it may be all you need to bring your place into the now.
Add texture to the mix with cushions and rugs in burnt orange, red and mustard – all complementary hues that will help tie the scheme together. Your finishing touch? Indoor greenery – you can never have too much.
