Small guest house in a former boiler room
Architect Christi Azevedo from ‘Azevedo Design renovated a small building with a brick façade, dating from 1908, of barely 9m² , totally abandoned and originally used as a boiler room and laundry room. She transformed it into a small guest house by increasing its surface area with the addition of a level consisting of a mezzanine ideal for installing a bed and bathroom space, using the beams of the existing roof of the old building to support the new room.
