Fun fact about me: I wear sneakers about 68,4% of the time (the rest includes sandals for summer days and dress code occasions). But, did you know that sneakers can be one of the most harmful pieces of our wardrobe?
That’s why I was excited to learn that made it their mission to create more sustainable leather sneakers that are also stylish, comfortable and durable at the same time. With their sole made of almost entirely non-virgin plastic, their leather sourced from a gold-certified tannery and their laces and lining made of recycled plastic bottles, the are very well succeeding in that. Plus, their production is carbon neutral.
Needless to say, that I’m wearing these beauties so much lately (and I am even neglecting my sandals albeit the high temperatures demand them!) and I get all the compliments!
