John’s adventure kicks off in Nairobi, the country’s cosmopolitan capital, and continues on through several of Kenya’s most sought-after national parks, from Aberdare to Nakuru and Amboseli. In these destinations, it’s game drives and wildlife galore — so follow along as John searches for the Big Five and gets a first-hand look at the Great Migration (just another day in Kenya). After that, it’s onto the grand finale: the Masai Mara. This spectacular reserve is what safari dreams are made of: it’s one of the best parks for big cat sightings (did you know it has one of the highest concentrations of lions in the world?), and you’re pretty much guaranteed to see leopard, lion, elephant, and buffalo on any trip!
Of course, John does so much more than game drives — he also watches the sunrise over the plains of the Masai Mara from a hot air balloon, sips on surprise sundowners at dusk, gets a sweet (and very wet) kiss from a giraffe, and immerses himself in Kenyan culture with a visit to a Maasai tribe. Spending time with the Maasai people is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary experiences you can have in Kenya, and judging by his reaction after seeing a Maasai ceremony, John agrees!
