By mid-September I was all ready and set to launch into fall. Leaves falling, temperatures dropping, snuggling up in blankets outside my favorite cafes sipping tea, accessorizing with scarves and hats again – I love this time of year.
This is also around the time when I usually plan a final summer trip to somewhere in Europe, knowing that countries like Portugal or Greece are still enjoying warm weather without temperatures reaching sweaty heights. This year I chose Crete.
The sun was out daily and at no stage did I have to whip out a hat or even a sweater, but the wind blew a little cooler than usual which made swimming in the ocean a bit more challenging than it would have been a month earlier. However, I did love the rugged, stony beaches in our corner of Crete, called Agios Nicolaos. In a way this little beach was the perfect bridge between summer days and the beginning of fall….
It was also the first time I was traveling with a couple of super beautiful items from Fossil’s fall collection which I fell head over heels for the moment I set eyes on them. What completely caught me off-guard is the stunning which simply looks chic, timeless and sophisticated. I haven’t worn a watch until I saw this one, but the Original Boyfriend came, saw and conquered me. I had no choice but to submit myself my wrist.
Speaking of wrists, I also adore this elegant bracelet for its chic simplicity and statement. The wearer can close the bracelet by hooking the stone into the loop but I preferred wearing it open. I was pretty amazed to see that the bracelet still looks unchanged after a couple of swims in the sea and now I just wear it each and every day because I feel like it adds that spark to any outfit.
Matching the watch and bracelet to perfection is the beautiful , a true must-have in any woman’s handbag collection. The warm brown tone and the timeless design make this one the ‘it’ bag for fall. It fits my laptop and camera or my shopping, which is why I currently wear it more than any of my other bags.
I’m off to New York this week on my next adventure and I know that these pieces will all complement my wardrobe beautifully. Bring on the new season!
