MY TRAVEL DIARIES // BRAC, CROATIA

Harbour of Supetar

We’ve been exploring narrow streets, eating freshly picked figs, sailing, viewed beautiful sunsets, swimming the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, sleeping in every morning, wishing our normal everyday routine weren’t coming anytime soon and breathing. The week in the Croatian island of Brac was amazingly relaxing. During my three weeks of vacation I’ve barely opened my computer but of course I’ve had my camera with me and been doing one of the things I love the most, photography. So, if you’re considering visiting Croatia, do it. The lush nature, the beaches, the friendly atmosphere, the history. I love it all. And theres som many places left to explore, I’ve only started. Brac is easy to reach by boat from Split and we stayed in Supetar, a small city on the northern side of the island. All over town there are rooms and apartments for rent and small hotels. We stayed at Waterman Svpetrvs Resort, located a short walk from the harbour. Feels more like a small village than a resort, and nice for the children.

Supetar is so much more than the nice harbour. Walk the hills as well, the streets, houses and gardens you see are so much worth it.

Renting a sailboat with or without a crew (for us definitely with a captain) is very much recommended. Simply no better way to see the Croatian archipelago.
