A look at the latest work of Laura Seppänen today, this apartment is one of three she has decorated for Lumo Homes, a housing company in Finland. I love the way Laura breathes life into brand new homes by layering different materials and adding homely touches. By playing with different lighting options including a mix of table lamps, floor lamps and pendant lighting, she has created areas within the open plan space that are cosy, perfect for reading and relaxing. Sticking with her signature monochrome palette, Laura has added a hint of blue and warm accents in light wood and brass. Large area rugs from Adora provide cosiness and comfort underfoot, while green plants bring a little of the outside in.

Furnishings includes classical Finnish design as well as newer Nordic design pieces such as the Black Snaregade dining table by Menu, the hero piece of the room. The beautiful leather chairs  are designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro and the sofa and side tables are by Finnish furniture brand Interface.

Lumo Homes have been running a campaign in Finland where by lucky winners receive tickets to the 2017 Flow Festival (a leading European music & arts festival in Helsinki) this weekend, and they get to stay at these gorgeous contemporary homes. I’m sure they will love it!
