Kitchen Design With Great Mix Of Materials

This dynamic kitchen design by TERRACOTTA is a great example of mixing materials the right way. TETTACOTTA’s team believes that people don’t always need bigger houses, but certainly deserve better homes!

This kitchen design was part of a renovation in a family home in Atlanta, Georgia. The kitchen space offered wonderful access to a covered patio and pool that provided natural light for an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. The design team set out first to improve the layout of the space, and second to create an environment suitable for this young, fun family, full of warmth and dimension.

The new layout started out with the selection of a 48” Thermador pro-range to be highlighted by a beautiful textured chevron wallpaper and a stellar and oversized quartz backsplash. Open shelving keeps the wall light and airy while showing off the homeowners’ collection of ceramics. The original ceilings were raised and evened to include new structural beams. The new island pops and surprises in its glossy eggplant color with brass accents. While the white and gold pendants above, along with leather and brass stools below, add a touch of glamour.
