Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen, owner and CEO of Fashion retailer Bestseller, has been a fan of Scotland since childhood. The Killiehuntly estate is one of the many acquisitions he did in recent years. Together with his wife Anne Storm Pedersen, he turned the circa-1800 farmhouse and cottages on the land into a holiday let with tremendous character and an intimate and luxurious feel.

The old buildings were transformed with the help of Nicholas Groves-Raines, and turned into a place for like-minded people who love design, nature, and solitude. The interior is classic, with original features and a moody palette of greys, blues and browns. It is decorated with a mix of both rustic and modern pieces, with both traditional Scottish craftsmanship with Scandinavian restraint and influences.

This is a look that I’m increasingly fond of -It is elegant and contemporary, but in an unpretentious, cozy way, and slightly rugged and masculine.

Killiehuntly is located in the breathtaking Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands. Surrounded by 4,000 acres of land, it is a perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. It is a working farm, so the meals are prepared with their own fresh produce; homemade, local and honest food served at a communal table. They can also help arrange activities such as fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and more.
