Inheriting a typical bungalow floor plan that relies on a central hallway to connect the rooms at the front of the house, the Arent & Pyke team focused on renovating the existing rooms and adding unexpected nuances to the scheme.
Creating a central hub for a family to come together and interact was a clear objective for the homes reconfiguration. The addition of the newly designed kitchen plays a pivotal role in connecting the dining and living areas while the clever design of the cabinetry ensures that much of the kitchen can be concealed when not in use.
Well thought out and cleverly designed, the kitchen is full of unexpected surprises. Tucked away behind the cabinetry walls and doors is a modern, light filled bathroom and laundry. Proving design is in the detail, a breakfast nook lined in silver penny round mosaics shines like a hidden gem when no longer concealed behind cupboard doors.
