This week we are talking with Stine from .
Stine left her former career as a lawyer to follow a more earthy and meaningful path, becoming a full time ceramic artist, you can read about her creative journey on her blog, .
We met few months ago, when she attended one of my macrame workshops. I’ve always been drawn to ceramics and I hope one day to be able to spend more time mastering this craft in Stine’s studio. We got to chat and immediately we knew we would love to work together. We’re planning some collaborations in the near future!
Stine fell in love with macrame and soon she started making many plant hangers for her beautiful and quirky studio in London! It make me so proud when I see students making more macrame after the workshops I teach.

Hello Stine! When did your creative journey start?
Truth be told, I did my first beginners evening pottery class less than 5 years ago. It was love at first sight and I haven’t looked back since!
Can you pick three words that describe how you feel when you are being creative?
Content, “at home” and sometimes exhilarated

As a creative where do you find your inspirations?
Everywhere but mostly in nature and the sea in Denmark where I grew up has inspired many of my glaze choices.
What’s the most valuable tip you would give to an aspiring maker starting their own creative business?
Remember it’s a journey to be enjoyed. Don’t just focus on where you want to get to, try to appreciate and enjoy each step on the way; be mindful and enjoy the little things.

If you were not a ceramist, what would you love to be instead?
I’d love to be the person who gets to name all of the Farrow and Ball paint colours…

I’m currently a bit obsessed with , i love
and I always check in with fellow potter and friend (he’s talented, bright, kind and honest. It’s the best combo)
