Hello everyone, how are you? Life is fine here, I’m enjoying the beginnings of Fall with hot cocoa, colored leaves and fresh, crisp air. It’s one of my most favorite times of the year, and October is definitely my favorite month – and has been – since I was a teenager. Do you also love sweater weather? Bundling up in warm clothes and taking long forest walks? It’s a special time of the year before the bitter cold and gray days come, so I really cherish it.

Today, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things at the moment that make me feel good, and they are all from the recent fair I went to in Denmark, called FORMLAND. Have you heard of it? If not, here are my top 18 brands from Formland that I really loved. There are more, but these really caught my eye.

TINA MARIE COPENHAGENTINA MARIE COPENHAGENTINA MARIE COPENHAGEN

TINA MARIE COPENHAGEN – Hand thrown pottery that feels very raw and natural, imperfect, and tactile. Her glazes are so runny and earthy in tone. I really love the look of her objects. Very Japandi/wabi sabi.

HUMDAKIN

HUMDAKIN All natural cleaning products owned by a new mom who really loves making the home natural and healthy and wants to push better living through products that are safe and healthy for cleaning that also look beautiful in the home, and don’t need to be hidden beneath the sink.

OYOY LIVINGOYOY LIVINGOYOY LIVINGOYOY LIVINGOYOY LIVING

OYOY LIVING This brand is one I’ve loved for awhile now, and followed since their very beginning many years ago. I remember ordering from them when I was pregnant with my son, and that was 5 years ago already. Such a fantastic brand with so much whimsy and color.

HK LIvingHK LIving

HK LIVING I’ve been a fan of HK Living since I first moved to Germany, and have had their furniture in my home for the past 7 years. I recently acquired a foot rest and some pillows, and also a lamp, from this brand along with some nice 70s style cappuccino mugs. I love pretty things that feel like they have a heart. HK Living products never feel brand new, they always come to me feeling like they had a past and have something meaningful to tell. I really adore this brand and their lovely style mix.

COCOON TEA ARTISANSCOCOON TEA ARTISANSCOCOON TEA ARTISANSCOCOON TEA ARTISANS

COCOON TEA ARTISANS The owner of this brand is a really special lady, I met her when I first went to Formland over the winter and again, I saw her recently at the fair again. She is so committed to good health and well made tea. She explained to me how so many teas are contaminated or simply very poor quality. Her tea is made so well, and makes you well, how nice.

MADE BY MAMAMADE BY MAMAMADE BY MAMAMADE BY MAMA

MADE BY MAMA This company has such a passion for the Italian kitchen, but also in cooking very simply, pure and easy with a rustic touch. I love their kitchen pieces like serving spoons and boards, but their products like pasta, cheese and various spreads are just divine. I had a private taste-testing at their booth and fell in love with their truffle spreads and lemon olive oils. It was such a beautiful experience to learn about how this Danish couple relocated to Italy and learned all about the food culture there and then, curated the best of the best and turned it into a gorgeous business for themselves with clean, pure packaging that looks gorgeous on your open shelves.

LIKEconcreteLIKEconcrete

LIKECONCRETE I really love these concrete pieces, particularly the trays and pieces for the bathroom. It’s 100% Eco and have a smooth, silky touch. I own a piggy bank and a white tray and really enjoy them in my home. The owner is also a fantastic person – so energetic and loaded with good vibes – and always has nice things to say and is so positive. You want to buy from a guy like him, he’s so sincere and has a really good product too.

Paia Copenhagen

PAIA COPENHAGEN It was such a nice surprise to discover this brand for the first time at Formland. When I stopped by their stand, I was immediately captured by their emotional and imaginative photography along with the scent of their unique candles. It was even more special when the owner of the brand knew all about me and decor8, and asked for a selfie to send her daughter, also a decor8 fan. It really touched my heart. I took a candle home from them that day and now, whenever I light it, I think of nothing but a lovely memory of that surprise meet up.

ANNA BULOWANNA BULOWANNA BULOW

ANNA BULOW This artist is so good, I really love prints with women on them, so her work strikes a positive chord with me. I own one and haven’t yet decided where to place it, but when I do, I’ll show you on my Instagram. 🙂

ANIA DESIGN STUDIOANIA DESIGN STUDIOANIA DESIGN STUDIOANIA DESIGN STUDIO

ANIA DESIGN STUDIO I love this studio because the colors and shapes are so exciting and fresh to me and her prints are just fantastic – especially the breasts shown above – girl power!

HubschHubschHubsch

HUBSCH This is a happy Danish brand with a German name, along with a lot of style and confidence. I like their overall brand and style direction, and at the fairs, they always have such a nice stand that is designed to look like various rooms of a real home, so it’s easy to see how you can arrange everything in a real life setting.

Aykasa Denmark

AYKASA These stack-able storage bins are brilliant. They originate in Turkey and this Danish firm hand picks a limited palette of the most on-trend colors and imports them to Denmark and sells them. They come in so many colors and sizes, and they pack flat, which is just great. I want them for my kitchen cabinets to store tea and spices.

About Form and FunctionAbout Form and FunctionAbout Form and Function

ABOUT FORM AND FUNCTION These are such lovely glass vessels and all of them are so unique and gorgeous to hold and look at. My favorite was the frosted white orb on a glass base, I used it in one of my displays at the fair in the trend hallway where interiors experts were asked to pull together favorite products from the fair and show them together in a styled space – and I enjoyed working on my mini exhibition very much – and this brand was part of it (along with Oy Oy Living, Hubsch, Ania Design Studio, Humdakin and Cocoon Tea Artisans).

Pernille FolcarelliPernille FolcarelliPernille FolcarelliPERNILLE FOLCARELLI

PERNILLE FOLCARELLI Another great lady and a real talent whom I met at the fair. I like that she takes things that she finds in nature and turns them into prints for the wall (or wallpaper). Her stand at Formland was so beautiful, it looked like a creative studio with paintbrushes, canvas and tools along with well-styled things from nature. I really enjoyed looking at each and every detail.

RIG TIGRig TigRig Tig

Rig Tig – I love their colors and shapes and how they take the most basic kitchen things and elevate them through gorgeous design.

ZONE DENMARKZONE DENMARKZONE DENMARKZONE DENMARK

ZONE DENMARK I really adore this brand, their trivets and bath stuff really looked good in person and their colors are just perfect and match my home so well. I liked their soft fluffy bath towels so much and was reminded how I need to get new things for my bathroom! My current towels are depressing!

EDEN OUTCASTEDEN OUTCASTEDEN OUTCASTEDEN OUTCAST

EDEN OUTCAST This brand has such a creative flair and the husband and wife duo behind it are just the sweetest couple. I met their new baby at the fair, she was on her mama every moment riding close to her chest in one of those sweet baby slings… And I liked when I asked her about her line, she said she doesn’t design for trend or what others are doing, she just makes things that she likes because she is a true artist. Respect, girl!!!! I really like their big glass prism bookends/paper weights and have a few of them in my cabinet, the way that they reflect light is just otherworldly.

So there you have it, some of my top brands from Formland in Herning, Denmark. I’ll be back at this fair in January 31 – Feb 3, 2019 to give workshops and to report on my favorite brands, so if you are able, definitely make it up for this fair because it’s fantastic. I only go to 4 fairs each year now, I had to really edit my list, and I go to Formland, Habitare, Salone del Mobile and Ambiente – but instead of Ambiente next year, I’ll perhaps visit Maison + Oject in Paris.

Here is a VIDEO that I’m in, hope you enjoy it.

Have a happy and lovely Monday!

Love,

Holly

(Post sponsored by Formland, all words, opinions and selections are 100% my own. If they had told me who to pick and what to write about, I would not be working with them. Formland is a beautiful fair and it’s fairs like them who give me a chance to earn a living doing what I love – to scour fairs to find the best of the best and share these brands with all of you.)
