Breathing New Life into a Vintage Apartment
The family’s São Paulo apartment, untouched for 50 years, was in need of a significant update. They aimed to revamp the interior design to create a comfortable weekend and summer retreat. Their vision also included adding a second floor to serve as an expansive leisure area for family and friends during their city visits.
A Stunning View Inspires the Design
The project’s primary inspiration came from the breathtaking views of Ipanema and Leblon beaches. By incorporating the laid-back and welcoming lifestyle of Rio de Janeiro, the design team infused the apartment with a Carioca soul.
Incorporating Natural Elements and Timeless Furniture
The design choices throughout the apartment emphasize natural materials, abundant natural light, and simple, timeless furniture. Each room showcases these elements, resulting in a cohesive and inviting atmosphere that embodies the essence of Rio de Janeiro.
