About Jungle Nat Restaurant
Nestled on a high floor in the bustling city of Shenzhen, China, Jungle Nat is a seaside cottage style restaurant that transports its guests to a tranquil oasis. With breathtaking views of the sea and skyscrapers, this restaurant feels like a castle in the air. The designers took inspiration from their surroundings to create a space that feels like a cozy, thatched cottage by the sea. Smooth-edged white walls, concealed lighting, and natural materials such as bamboo and straw combine to create a relaxing and delightful atmosphere. By using fewer colors and materials, the space is kept simple and unadorned, inviting guests to kick back and unwind.
Upon entering the restaurant, guests are greeted by black bamboos that cultivate a sense of forest secrecy. The curved wall and half-hidden hallway add to the sense of mystery, inviting guests to explore the space. The bar counter, designed with earthy materials, adds a natural touch to the space.
One of the main challenges in this project was turning a busy business area into a thatched seaside cottage while still providing a relaxing and delightful atmosphere for customers. The designers at Jungle Nat rose to the challenge, creating a space that feels like a home away from home.
