Our entryway is the last area in our apartment to really take shape and I’m so happy with our new Verde mirror designed by Rikke Frost for Woud, which we hung up over the weekend. Since we moved the white Tylko cabinet to the other side, we had this big empty wall and I had been wondering about hanging up some art pieces, but a mirror makes so much more sense in this space.

The design is inspired by metal furniture from the fifties, and their use of simple shapes in combination with a functional perspective. Behind the mirror, there is a hidden shelf which can hold a plant, small picture frames or other objects depending on which room the mirror is placed in. I opted for a small plant that hangs over on one side (I love that you can see the reflection of the plant in the mirror as well). You can also hang clothes on the side of the mirror – shown here – and the bottom part of the structure functions as a hanging rail as well. I love this combination of functionalities and the graphic look the simple lines of the design give to our hallway.

If you like, you can have a look at the Woud website to read more about the products, take a look at their entire collection and find out where to buy the Woud products in your area.
