We’ve Lost Count Of the Number Of WhatsApp Messages About This Sold-Out Serum
Discovering cult products and learning about new beauty launches is all part of my job but, every now and then, I’ll hear of a more underground beauty discovery that really gets me excited—and that’s exactly what happened this week. When Emma Spedding, Who What Wear’s Deputy Editor, showed up to the office on Tuesday exclaiming that one of her group chats on WhatsApp was popping off because of a sold-out face serum my ears immediately pricked up.
Apparently, the girls in her chat were singing the praises of a particular product that they claimed was “the ultimate best” but was “perpetually out of stock though”. Sad times indeed. So, what was this mystical face serum that everyone was going wild for?
The sold-out serum comes courtesy of Beauty Pie—a unique members website that I had previously only considered the shopping domain of beauty junkies and editors like myself. Turns out, I was wrong. The Triple Hyaluronic Acid & Peptide Serum retails at £60 but, if you sign up to a Beauty Pie membership then you can snag it for just £15. It sounds too good to be true but, seriously, it is.
Described as a “miracle serum for super glowy, dewy, healthy skin” on the Beauty Pie website, I have to admit that it sounds pretty special. Containing three different weights of hyaluronic acid (for a major moisture injection) along with skin-plumping ceramides and smoothing peptides, it’s basically a great all-rounder serum for all skin types.
The reviews speak for themselves, too. “Stock up on this product when you get a chance,” reads one reviewer. “Made a difference in one night,” says another. If this isn’t a product with cult status then I don’t know what is.
Sadly, though, the serum isn’t due back in stock until mid-July. And, chances are, once it does land back on the website it won’t hang around for long. I caught up with a representative for the brand who told me that loyal customers will buy multiple bottles of the stuff once it’s available again—so devotees (or even those with a vague interest) will have to act quickly.
In the meantime, keep scrolling to shop some other tried-and-tested serums that are very much in stock.
