I’m a big fan of a great statement wallpaper wall and think it can add such depth and personality to an interior which goes way further than adding a paint to a room. The times that wallpapers were associated with your grandma’s home are long gone and it became a quick and easy way to transform your home and give it a new look. I have always been curious to see what’s the effect of a great wallpaper design in my own home, which is why I was so happy to team up with the lovely people from
Founded by Anna Eijffinger and her husband Theo in 1875 in the Netherlands, the brand has a long tradition of producing wallpaper while always being interested in the latest decorating trends, the latest colors, designs and material innovations.
I live in a rental apartment here in Munich and I’m not allowed to hang wallpaper on the walls (one more reason I hope to own my own place one day). This didn’t mean I can’t be creative with the walls and change the look and personality of the room though and I went ahead and picked my two favorite designs to create two different headboards for my bed.

I’m amazed with how little effort I was able to completely change the look of my bedroom. I think working with a board like this is great for anyone who can’t hang wallpaper and wants to add a bolder touch to a room. It can also be a great way to find out if a certain design would work in a room and being that the Eijffinger Smartpaper is removable by just pulling it off, I can even use the same boards multiple times to create a different setting in my bedroom.
