Last time, we watched Joan and Jess set sail off the coast of Naples, perfect the art of pizza-making in Sorrento, and tour around the ancient city of Pompeii. On this episode, they’ve landed in a completely new and utterly magnificent continent: Africa. Our favourite duo experience bucket list-worthy adventures in every country, but this leg might just be the most memorable one thus far! Ready to embrace your wild side? It’s time for a tour of epic proportions through Botswana!
Fresh off the plane from Italy, Joan and Jess make a brief pit stop in South Africa before heading straight for the border of Botswana. Once they reach the sandy savannah of the Kalahari Desert, it’s one extraordinary experience after another — from bush camping under the stars to thrilling walking safaris, out-of-this-world natural wonders and adrenaline-inducing activities. Of course, all of their wildlife-viewing experiences are superb here, too — Joan and Jess are in one of the most biodiverse countries on the continent after all!
And just when they thought their tour couldn’t get any better, Joan and Jess arrive at one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World: Victoria Falls. They witness the sheer power of the falls on ground level, and then hop into a helicopter for an incredible birds-eye view of this awe-inspiring natural landmark.
