The adventure continues: welcome to episode five of Tour the World!
In the previous episode, we watched as Joan and Jessica experienced the very best of the southern USA, from the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll to Louisiana’s bayou and New Orleans! Today, we’re following this dynamic duo to the land of pizza, pasta, and prosecco! Yep, you guessed it: Joan and Jessica are in Italy! So, get ready for a slice of vita all’italiana (life, Italian style) — it’s time to explore Italy!
The first stop on their tour? Italy’s enchanting capital, of course! Rome is one of those cities that captivates every type of traveller — and Jessica and Joan fall under its bewitching spell from the get-go. Their Italian adventure begins with a whirlwind walking tour of Rome’s most impressive sights, including Vatican City, the Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum. In between all the sightseeing, they make time to indulge in some of Italy’s most delectable culinary staples (think: fresh local produce, espresso, gelato, and more).
This episode is full of unexpected surprises, too! Travis, the CEO and co-founder of TourRadar, joins the group on their tour through Italy — and he’s got a huge surprise for Joan and Jess (but you’ll have to wait until the next episode airs to see the big reveal!)
After an unforgettable time in Rome, Joan and Jessica hop on a high-speed train to Naples before boarding a ferry to Procida, a small and spectacular island that few tourists see. In Procida, they get on yet another boat — but this time, they’re setting off on a scenic sailing trip through the beautiful Bay of Naples. By this point, the group is completely swept up in the laid-back Italian way of life (which is bound to happen when you’re in this country). Joan gets a little too adventurous for his own good near the end of the episode, but you’ll just have to watch to see exactly what unfolds!
