The network hasn’t yet announced a host so there’s no telling for sure if original host Paige Davis will be making a return. But fans of the show, which ran from 2000 to 2008, will undoubtedly be thrilled at the revival of the program which saw neighbors swap houses to redecorate a room on a budget with the help of design professionals. These “design professionals” included now-famous personalities like Vern Yip, Carter Oosterhouse, and Ty Pennington. The show was so successful that it inspired several spinoffs.
“TLC is back into home and property with ‘Nate & Jeremiah By Design,’ our new show helping distressed homeowners turn disasters into dream homes,” TLC President and General Manager Nancy Daniels said in a statement. “We are thrilled to expand in this space, and what better way to do that than to bring back ‘Trading Spaces’, the series that put property on the map.”
This reboot is the latest in the television revival trend —hello, Gilmore Girls— and while full details have yet to be released, we’re already excited about the return of one of the most famous home renovation shows. In the meantime, we’ll be watching clips of the old show on
