While we all know and love Zara for its affordable basics and unique take on of-the-moment trends, recently I’ve found myself turning to the brand for an entirely new reason: outfit styling inspiration. The high-street label seems to have perfected the art of distinctive product styling and regularly displays interesting looks online that we’re just dying to copy.

From pairing a roll-neck jumper under a shirtdress to wearing an oversized blazer over side-split leggings, Zara has a way of making even the most basic wardrobe staples look achingly cool.

As U.S. Senior Fashion Editor Lauren Eggertsen discovered on her tour of its headquarters, Zara actually has 15 different studio sets working to produce the product imagery we see on site. Each studio has its own individual photographer and styling team, which is likely the reason product imagery and outfit choices turn out to be so innovative and diverse.

Style Notes: While a beige shirtdress worn alone could be seen as a classic basic, pairing the dress with a roll-neck and knee-high boots instantly elevates its style status.

Style Notes: I had never given knitted waistcoats a second thought until I saw this photo. Now, I want to add one to my wardrobe, immediately.

Style Notes: One thing Zara is focused on right now is pairing knee-high boots with just about everything. Here they make the perfect companion next to a front-split midi skirt.

Style Notes: Yes, Zara can even make leggings look new. Paired alongside an oversized shirt and blazer, the slim leg trousers create flattering proportions.

Style Notes: Since Katie Holmes made them all the rage, everyone has been obsessed with beige knit crop tops. Here Zara gives the item cold-weather appeal, pairing it against a leather pencil skirt and coat.
