Quilting is something I want to —especially when I see the work of . I’ve been following her work for years. It started with her that utilized a variety of colors, materials, and shapes. (I have a piece of it!) Lorena has since moved on from embroidered accessories but that same experimentation is in her contemporary quilts. She is not bound to any one shape, format, or fabric choices. Some of her projects even include that are stitched to the fabric as a way to create pattern and illustrate concepts. “A quilt is no good as a canvas for paint, but it has just as much agency to tell a story.”
