The Range, the Spanish-inspired finca, has been designed by Emma and Tom Lane, who live on the property. Set on on 120 acres, this dreamy family home was designed and built using adaptive reuse principles, with an emphasis on natural and recycled materials mixing Spanish influences and all the Australian “cool and design” lifestyle. For the design, Emma and Tom drew from a natural palette of colours, like the linen soft furnishings inspired by the old basalt rock walls and fireplace in hues of warm greys, earthy rusts and muted yellows. The Spanish influence on The Range is perhaps nowhere as obvious as in the softly-pinked textured rendered walls, arches and picture windows of the exterior. The magnesium mineral pool and spa takes full advantage of the picture-perfect view of the valley below.
