And not just when they’re teenagers and the room has suddenly turned into a dumping ground – finding the balance between spaces you like and spaces children actually want to be in is no easy feat. Or, when you do find that elusive balance in styles, a year or two passes and they outgrow their current layout – and suddenly it’s time to go through the process all over again.
Regular readers will know we at est believe in buying less but better, and children’s spaces shouldn’t be excluded from that approach.
