STOCKHOLM // HOTEL AT SIX

Waking up in a soft hotel bed is often filled with the excitement of what the day will bring, you’re in a different city maybe even in a different country. Although a lot of you, including me, will wake up in a hotel because we´re at work, its a feeling of being taken care of. Breakfast is served, the bed is made and at my Stockholm home a week ago I was met with “did you sleep well? ” in the front desk.

Hotel At Six is located in a Brutalist former bank building, centrally located at Brunkebergstorg 6. Continental atmosphere, sophisticated interiors where materials like marble, brass, polished granite is mixed with soft leather and wool – all in dark shades of elegance.

After a busy week attending Stockholm Design Week I decided to have the weekend off, stay in Stockholm and actually take some time enjoying the city. Early check-in Friday; office work. Saturday; its pouring down outside, better stay in bed. Sunday; Its about time to see the National Museum. It might not have been such a temptation to stay at the hotel that much if it wasn’t as nice –  Hotel At Six so much met my expectations and were one of the best places I’ve stayed. Ticking off boxes; friendly staff and atmosphere, breakfast with a large selection of healthy and delicious food (lasting until noon during weekends!), beds so very soft. My view from the 13.th floor and the spacious room was amazing, thanks to the very generous upgrade at check in. You can see from the photos the interior was pretty great as well with so much attention to details. And even though I would normally choose a smaller hotel because of the atmosphere there were no reason to in this case.
