Some pictures are in my folders for ages and today I thought I’d show you this shelves. The shelves are designed by Gabriel Tan Design for Ariake and inspired by the fireworks installation created by Cai Guo-Qiang. Normally I prefer furniture legs to be straight, but I have to admit that in this case I can appreciate the gently curved ends of the shelf which are reminiscent of a rope ladder, suspended from a hot air balloon, according to the website.
