Long before this craft blog existed, before I was even into crafts full time, I had very little scrapbooking tools to my name. My very first purchase was a large heart craft punch to help me achieve a Valentine’s project. Punches have since then become a collector’s item in this household, and I especially love a good deal! So when this flower punch that you see before you was discounted at a Michaels store, I snatched it up!
I like nothing more than a quick project, but I have to say that the right paper will take a project from good to great. So I’m going to gloat a little bit about this paper pad that I absolutely love from Craft Smith. I’ve used it for numerous projects in the past, and I love the tropical pinks and corals, plus the texture is pretty. You can also stock it in your craft room from HERE.
To complete a flower, punch two shapes in contrasting colours, plus a circle shape in black card stock for the centre, and adhere it all together with a mini glue gun (on low temp.).
So simple, but effective, right?
Total time: about 10 minutes for seven flowers.
