Lately, I’ve been really really digging good old, country style wool yarns. (Yes, despite the fact that it’s about to be May, ha!) It’s the kind of yarn that just makes you feel grounded and solid while you work with it. It’s a little more down to earth, very pleasant and homey in your hands. In honor of Earth Day this week, I give you one such yarn – a 100% certified organic wool number from Shepherd’s Lamb:
This yarn is hand-dyed with something called low-impact prepared powder dyes.

Knitting needles: US 6, 4 mm / 16 stitches & 22 rows over 4 inches (10 cm)
Crochet hook: US G-6, 4 mm / 18 sc & 24 rows over 4 inches (10 cm)
Cons: If you like your superwash yarn (which is basically coated in plastic, btw), you might not love having to launder your handmade items super carefully.
Pros: Can we talk about how gorgeous this Razzleberry color is? Ugh, I just love it! One of the most perfect reds, especially in real life, in my humble opinion.
