Striking design statements sharpen the layout of this 250 square metre apartment, located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Designed by Almaty Vilnius Architects, the space is arranged around hero pieces that captivate the eye and engage the imagination. Whilst the home decor scheme is primarily a clean and crisp white backdrop, colourful accents of blue, yellow and green create a ripple in the calm setting. The home boasts a stylish living/dining room combo, a large dining kitchen complete with breakfast table and an island bar, a quirkily coloured home office with a custom desk design, an atmospheric home cinema, three gorgeous modern bedrooms and two inspirational marble bathroom designs.

A modern white sectional sofa makes a clean frame around a unique geometric nesting coffee table set.

The versatile coffee table set can be placed edge-to-edge as one sleek piece, or split apart into three small side tables.

Decorative vases draw the eye to sleek linear TV unit, mounted just a few inches from the floor. Grey tiles back the TV wall, and frame an elegantly tall interior door.

A Serie Up 2000 chair by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia anchors a bold black accent in the light room. The designer chair also serves as a visual divide between the lounge and the home entryway. A transition of wood to tile flooring further accentuates the division of zones.

The shining steel modern coffee table complements sleek chrome feet under the couch.

A striking modern chandelier calls attention to the dining area behind the couch.

Black coated steel frames create an abstract cube above the rectangle dining table, whilst orb shades bring beads of light.

Slender struts elevate a modern console table at the side of the dining room, creating a lightweight effect under a large and dominant art piece.

Unique ceramic vases make an interesting yet modest table centerpiece beneath the statement dining room chandelier.

In the kitchen, a round pedestal dining table is lit by another spectacular modern chandelier.

A glass vase supports an understated green centrepiece.

Warm grey tower units and a grey marble backsplash colour one half of the L-shaped kitchen installation, whilst white base cabinets and a crisp white island complete the run.

Four kitchen bar stools and an overhanging countertop make a casual hang out spot at the kitchen island.

Window blinds have been hung from the ceiling line to create the illusion of full height glass.

A mirrored partition wall is custom finished with a tower of shelving, which adds a decorative touch to the open plan home entryway. A red accent chair makes a hot spot for putting on shoes next to the entryway closet.

The modern home office is a generously proportioned space with statement yellow lounge furniture and clashing solid green area rug. In contrast, the work area itself is a sophisticated neutral affair with a bespoke white & wood desk design and slick black & chrome desk chair.

Heavy black drapes build drama around the masterful desk, cutting darkly between huge windows.

The bright yellow armchairs cheerfully counteract the dark elements in the room. A solid white marble coffee table splices in a moment of luxe.

Acoustic panels soak up the sounds of the home cinema. Small side tables set out the snacks.

Frameless interior doors perfectly align with the walls of the white hallway.

In the master bedroom, a huge 4 poster frame makes a platform beneath the bed base, creating the aspect of a room within a room. See more inspiration for 4 poster beds here.

A dark grey area rug creates a soft walkway around the bed frame, bridging the gap between the TV and a bedroom lounge area.

A yellow side table makes bright contrast against a blue modern chair with ottoman.

At the opposite side of the bedroom, a glass framed desk allows natural light and the view from the window to wash through. A grey swivel desk chair creates a tonal tie with the grey bedroom rug.

Colourful design objects, including a red Magis puppy by Eero Aarnio for Magis, add a designer touch to the kid’s bedroom.

A yellow rug sets down a playfully clashing base for the blue kids’ bed.

Perimeter lighting and unique circle themed wall light create a cosy ambience.

Geometric wall decor brings a burgundy accent to the final bedroom in the tour.

A mustard bed establishes another deeply colourful statement in the simple white surroundings.

In the bathroom, a textured wet wall ripples behind a modern freestanding
bathtub.

A unique concrete farmhouse sink protrudes from a linear oak vanity unit. Custom cut, edge-to-edge vanity mirrors create the illusion of a much larger room.

In the powder room, a round mirror sets the grey marble vanity nook all aglow.

Oak effect wall panels warm the moody dark grey room scheme.

Steel cased doors admit an abundance of natural light into the parking garage.

A white canopy shelters the terrace to create a multifunctional outdoor living space, complete with various lounge areas, a dining zone and outdoor heaters. Stylish rattan chests stow away blankets to further combat the evening chill.

Six super comfortable dining chairs make the outdoor dining table a place to gather, chat, and stay a while.

An outdoor coffee table serves each of the lounge areas with a spot of tea.
