It can be hard to guess someone's fabric taste or pattern wishes, but there are lots of nifty gadges that fit perfectly in a stocking! See this list of sewing stocking stuffers and find something unique for all the sewists in your life. #sewing #stockingstuffer #giftguide

It’s that time of year where I’m swearing that NEXT year, I’ll either buy all my gifts or start making them in July. I’ve been looking for small things to slip into zipper pouches & tote bags for the sewists in my life, and thought I’d make a list of sewing stocking stuffer ideas. I tried to balance cheap options with a little pricier ones- my family tends to treat stockings as another place to stuff presents instead of for smaller items. I’d love to hear if I missed any of your favorites! As always, it’s great to go check out your local quilting store, or suggest your significant other does, but I also understand that sometimes you’re up at midnight, trying to knock the rest of your list off, and want to order off Amazon with 2-day shipping.

If you’re in the shopping mood, check out my round-up of craft & sewing books to gift too!

1.fancy seam ripper

How pretty is this fancy floral seam ripper* from Lacebobbins? If you’re going to mess something up, now you can fix it in style.

2. clover penciles

Marking pencils* are the bobby pins of my craft room, I know I have several but they always disappear when I need them.

3. Nancy Zieman seams right

Nancy Zieman Seams Right* is a fun little gadget to measure and mark seam allowances, I picked mine up on a whim but actually use it often.

4. bag label from emmaline bags

These “Bag Bling” metal labels from Emmaline Bags are SO cool! I spent so much time making my first legit bag recently, and would’ve loved to include one of these.

5. Bodkin

Bodkins* are so nifty. Unassuming, but they work so much better than a safety pin to thread elastic.

6. Looking for fabric lovers gift ideas? Check out this beautiful handmade seam ripper necklace! Perfect gift for someone who loves sewing, it is beautiful and functional, flipping around to cover the top safely while you wear it. 10. craftsy class

A Craftsy class*, for those who want to gift an experience instead of a thing. Print out a cute little certificate for it!

My Patchwork Threads scissors keeper hangs out in my embroidery floss bag, making sure that my son doesn’t “borrow” my scissors.

12. fabric charm

Have you ever seen a mini charm pack of fabric? They are tiny and so cute! Quilting shops carry them,  like from Fat Quarter Shop.*.

13.Wonder clips

Wonder clips* are nifty, they hold binding and applique together tightly. I have the poor-man’s version with alligator hair clips, but am hoping to upgrade.
